Privacy Policy

TeK-ME is an exam-preparation service operated by Tekniwell Inc (“Tekniwell,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions? Email info@tekniwell.com.
Information we collect
We keep data collection to a minimum. Depending on how you use TeK-ME, we may collect:
- Email address — when you buy a plan or sign in to an account, so we can deliver your unlock code, receipts, and (if you choose) your test-result emails.
- Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; Stripe handles payment data under its own terms.
- Study activity — the questions you attempt, scores, and progress. This lives in your browser by default; if you create an account, a copy is stored on our servers so your progress follows you across devices.
- Veteran/military status (optional) — only if you choose to verify for the discount through ID.me. We receive a verified yes/no and basic identity confirmation from ID.me — never your documents or ID.
- Basic, privacy-friendly analytics — aggregate visit counts and referrers via Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not track or profile individuals.
Cookies and tracking
TeK-ME uses a single strictly-necessary cookie to keep you signed in to your account. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or cross-site profiling. Our analytics are cookieless. Because we only use an essential cookie and cookieless analytics, no consent banner is required to visit the site.
How we use your information
- To provide the service — deliver access codes, run your practice and exams, and sync your progress if you have an account.
- To communicate with you — send your unlock code, receipts, and result emails you request.
- To improve TeK-ME — understand which features help candidates pass, using aggregate data.
- To operate our business — process payments and prevent fraud or abuse.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us run TeK-ME, and only as needed:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Resend — sending your emails (codes, receipts, results).
- Cloudflare — cookieless website analytics.
- Fly.io — secure hosting of the application.
- ID.me — only if you choose veteran/military verification.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
Your choices and rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing info@tekniwell.com. Depending on where you live (for example, California and other U.S. states), you may have additional rights, including the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — though we do not sell or share your information for targeted advertising. You can clear your on-device study data at any time by clearing your browser storage, and you can manage billing and receipts through the Stripe billing portal linked in the app.
Data retention & security
We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymize it. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
Children
TeK-ME is intended for working adults and licensing candidates and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. We'll revise the effective date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
